Terms of service
These terms cover the use of this website. Using it means accepting them. What you buy here is covered by a different document: the terms of sale govern orders, prices, delivery and the guarantee, and they are the ones that matter once you place an order.
1. Who runs this site

2. Using the site
You may read this site, send us a photograph, ask a question and place an order. That is what it is for.
What you may not do: try to break into it, overload it, scrape it wholesale, use it to send anything unlawful, or pass off its content as your own. If any of that happens we may refuse access, and we will say so rather than doing it silently.
3. The photograph you send us
It stays yours. Sending it gives us permission to do one thing with it: the restoration you asked for, and the steps that go with it — storing it, working on it, showing it back to you, and printing it if you ordered a print.
Nothing else. Your photograph is never published, never shown as an example, and never sold or passed to anyone except the printer who makes your print, and only if you ordered one. If we ever wanted to show a restoration as an example of the work, we would ask you first and accept no as an answer.
We keep the original and the restored photograph for one year after you approve, so you can download them again whenever you need to. After that they are deleted. The privacy policy says how the rest of your data is handled.
By sending a photograph you confirm you are entitled to have it restored — that it is yours, or that whoever it belongs to is content for you to send it.
4. The restored photograph
The high-resolution photograph we send back is yours from the moment you approve it. We keep no claim over it and ask for no credit. You may print it, share it, or give it to your family as you like.
5. What belongs to us
The wording, the design, the code and the photographs used to illustrate this site belong to Photo Motif, apart from the photographs customers send us, which stay theirs. Reading the site and sharing a link to it are fine. Copying it for anything else needs our agreement in writing.
6. The site itself
We try to keep it working and accurate. We cannot promise it will never be down, never be interrupted, and never contain a mistake — no one honestly can. If something on the site is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
A promise made in the terms of sale or the refund policy is not affected by this section. Those are commitments about your order, and they stand.
7. Links to other sites
Where this site links somewhere else, that other site is not ours and we do not control what it says or does.
8. Changes
We may change these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published when you use the site, and the date below says when it last changed. A change here never alters an order already placed: that order stays governed by the terms of sale as they stood when you placed it.
9. Law and courts
French law applies. If something goes wrong, write to contact@photomotif.com first — nearly everything is settled that way. If it cannot be, the courts remain open to you, and as a consumer you may bring a case where you live.
